"T" + 7 Months from Gotcha

Hi all,

Again, lots of great stuff to report...let's get to it.

Kyle continues to grow in every way. He's getting taller, stronger and heavier. (The "heavier" part sort of sneaks up on you when you need to scoop him up off the floor during meltdowns.)

We just heard this week that he's being advanced to the next class level at his Goddard school. He'll be leaving some of his little friends in "The Bouncing Barnyard", and joining his new friends in "The Chugging Choo-Choos". We are very grateful for all of the attention and teaching that Miss Tracy and the other teachers gave to Kyle while in the Barnyard.

School activities have been a lot of fun for Kyle - he really loves "Splash Days" where the class gets to spend time in the outside schoolyard under sprinkler hoses to keep cool. Apparently he's always the first one in line at the door.

The Goddard school always tries to do new and exciting activities. They had "Crazy Hair Day" and Mom jazzed Kyle up with some wild BLUE hair!

They've had farm animals visit and tomorrow, a FIRE TRUCK will be visiting school.

On the weekends, Mom & Dad keep Kyle very busy. On a recent Saturday, we made a day trip to enjoy the beach at Cape May, NJ. Kyle had a lot of fun experiencing the sand and salt water for the first time. I think it was Tuesday before we got all of the sand off of him!!

We also made a trip to the Philly Zoo again. Once again Kyle enjoyed seeing all of the animals. He was a little less enthusiastic about brushing the goats (see on of our previous posts).

We've also discovered an interesting physiological fact about Kyle. It seems that the outside diameter of Kyle's fingers are EXACTLY the same size as the inside diameter of Barilla brand Rigatoni - cooked al-dente. Here is the proof in case you doubt me:

Just for the record...

The 24th was 7 MONTHS after Gotcha, and Kyle turns 22 months old tomorrow!

See ya soon...Vacation to Myrtle Beach SC begins Friday!!!

Another Update - Mostly Pictures

Good evening all,

Kyle is completely passed out after a full weekend of activities, and a good Sunday dinner!

It's been a good 2 weeks since the last update.

Last weekend we went to Sesame Place on Saturday. Thanks mostly to Aunt Mary, Kyle know Elmo well and can say his name fairly clearly. We got there just as the park opened and we rode a lot of the kids' rides. Kyle really seemed to enjoy himself. He really liked the long slide (one of the only things he went on by himself). We also had a lot of fun at the water park. It was a good thing we went early, because later in the day we went back to the kids' rides and were only able to ride ONE ride because the lines were enormous.

One of Kyle's favorite activities at Sesame Place was the "mosh pit" as Mom liked to call it. It was just a big soft play area (think of a moon bounce - but with a more sturdy walking surface).

Here are some of the photos:

This weekend we spent around the neighborhood.

On Saturday, we had a lunch picnic in the park. After we ate we went down to the creek to skim some stones. Later we did some shopping and went out for dinner at Pizzaria Uno (or Chicago Uno as it's called now...). Either way we had a nice meal of pizza and a mild meltdown for dessert!!

Kyle, doing his best impression of a happy little boy!

And today, we went to the Harleysville pool. Kyle has really taken to the water. He's getting around fine and has had only a few paceplants. No matter what though, he gets up, wipes the water (and sometimes snots) off his face and goes right back to it.

The HAT makes the outfit!

Mom has taken a lot more water pictures with her waterproof camera. We just ran it out, so we'll be getting these pictures back shortly. We'll post some of these soon.

Good night and check back soon.
